Hey Rick, hope you too have a great fathers day. I lost my dad 3 years ago, but we were never close, I can honestly say that the way you take people under your wing and treat them as if they were family, really says alot about a persons character. Your one of the best. God Bless you Rick, keep up the good work. Tony Bishop

Thanks buddies!!!! Glad you liked it.
You two are a trip about those mahi's. You both are very capable of doing mahi's too along with all the other fish you do. But on the other hand I'd honored to do fish for you guys.
Well it was rainy NH but it was all good. Rain or shine, the whole family had a blast. Maybe I'll get some pics posted up for those of you who'd like to see em. Rick and I both have some pretty good "blackmail" photos that may come out.
To Rick, Kathy & Amber, thanks for the wonderful hospitality, fishing and a whole week of fun!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Hey Gang! I want to take a few moments and introduce one of the new Anglers Artistry family members! Mr. Kevin Champagne of the Huston Texas Area! Kevin was a man with a plan! Kevin came all the way from Texas to New Hampshire to fulfill his dream of learning to create some great fish for his new Taxidermy Business!
Kevin was a fun guy and Kathie and I enjoyed his 10 days stay here with us at the farm! Kevin was so excited to see mountains and got caught up in the history of New Hampshire. Kevin worked very had and enjoyed a lot of Maple syrup or as we here in the granite state the sugar gold! Did mention Kevin really Liked Ice cream! Kevin got to experience the Big Ice cream tour of New Hampshire. Here are a few pictures of Kevin and the some of the back yard views I get to enjoy daily. Here are a few pictures of Kevin extra bonus activities on his time off.
The famous Batten kill River
Meeting house of some of the founding fathers
A head Stone from 1767 before we were a country.
Kevin showing Kathie how to call in a cow!
The Best flat top in the world at Dons Barber shop!
A day at the farm isn’t complete with out a few really big meals! Thank you Kathie!
On to Kevin’s 10 day workshop! As some of you folks who have experienced the Anglers Artistry workshops we put in some long days and have lots of fun while learning
Kevin worked on a 27 inch Redfish where molding and casting along with custom body carving were the order of the day to create this skin mount Red!
Kevin really wanted to create a Walleye paint Job on his Lake country replica. Kevin made me LOL when I asked him what his walleye looked like in his area so that we paint accurately for his workshop and Kevin said “They look just like they do in the box it came in because we don’t have walleye! LOL
Kevin also worked on his 10 pound plus Largemouth Bass! Kevin wanted to do a traditional Bass mount with a few custom aspects to see how to work on a traditional head and custom body carving and some molding of key fins that shrink. We also made and custom eye job for this fish and Kevin do this very well!
Kevin really worked hard and we painted this Big Bass using some great reference of this type of Bass with the look Kevin was looking for!
Every one since 1991 who I have had the pleasure to work with each and every one has had a different reason for learning and why they want to do taxidermy as it relates to theirs lives I still after all these years find great joy in helping in some way to share in what I know and have practiced to create my business and to work at a profession that I don’t consider work at all it is happiness to help others! I love to teach and to see others like Kevin who come here with such passion it makes what I do worth ever minute I worked so very hard to be able to teach! Kevin is a man on his way to his dream in the world of taxidermy!
Find your own dream and get the passion to see it though! I wish you Kevin and all the others who work so hard at what we do the very best!
My Very Best!

Man Kevin thats some awesome work. All the fish are top notch. The walleye is spot on and I can't wait to see the red finished. I'll tell you what when I saw your bass pic on the Week in Pics I just knew it was a cast head. Then when I saw it here I was shocked. Thats by far the best skin mount bass I've ever seen. The head is so full and not "skin mounted" looking. I can tell by the pics here you had a great week and did some excellent work. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
Keep up the great work and welcome to the family.

Awesome work- welcome to the group... Those fish turned out first class, but I expect nothing less than perfect coming out of that Hinsdale NH workshop, how much weight did you gain? I think Rick and Kathy have a side bet how much food they guess one person can eat in 10 days..

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I had a wonderful time in New Hampshire. The time I spent with Rick, Kathy, Buddy and Lily-Bell were priceless. I would like to thank Rick and Kathy for making me feel so at home.
The workshop was just unbelievable. I learned more than my brain could comprehend. Rick is an awesome teacher and so knowledgeable about fish and taxidermy in general. It was a great pleasure to spend 10 days with Rick. (If you need to know anything about New England history, Rick can answer those questions as well.)
Food, food, and more food. Let me tell you about the food. Kathy is a wonderful cook. She needs to open a restaurant. Not only does the food taste great, but the presentation is awesome. Thanks Kathy, for the 10 extra pounds I brought home with me. It was worth every ounce. (A pound a day, not a bad average for a Texan). We can blame the ice cream and maple syrup for a couple of those pounds.
Mountain Ed, I’m also sorry I didn’t get to meet you in person. Rick has told me so many good things about you. I was really looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully we can meet up some day soon.
I could go on for days about my workshop. There is so much more to tell.
Thanks again for all the kind words from you guys.
Rick and Kathy, I had a wonderful time. Thank you again for your generous hospitality.
Your friend
Kevin Champagne
