I want to welcome a long time taxidermist and a good guy to the Anglers Artistry family of fishheads! Mr. Melvin Kincheloe of the Great State of Kansas! Mel is a proud member of the Kansas taxidermist association and the Untied Taxidermist association along with being a director of the National Taxidermist association Mel truly is a devoted taxidermist!

I want to share a few Pictures of Mel’s workshop on the Big Striped Bass!

Hope you welcome and enjoy the work of Melvin Kincheloe!

Staring off with a big Lake country replica 45 Lber!!

Mel works the sides up for a good canvas to start with. Some one read the Taxidermy today article I think!

Just like to say thanks to all and I'm looking forward to sharing info with all the fishheads out there and any one else interested in promoting the art of taxidermy. One will have to look a long time to ever find anyone with the abilities of Mr. Krane .  He and his Wife Kathie are great host and Kathie is a superb cook . Thanks to all Mel.

Hey Gang!

I wanted to share with you the most recent student of Anglers Artistry Mr. Kenny Shepherd of the Memphis area of Tennessee! Kenny spent 10 days with Kathie and I and enjoyed very much Kenny's enthusiasm and his wonderful sense of humor! Here is a few pictures of Kenny's workshop! Kenny came here to learn some fish work and these are his very first fish ever. Kenny custom carved a great Brookie and custom painted eyes and also fit in 2 reproductions. Pretty great start for a new comer with lots of ambition! Way to go Kenny! Lets welcome Kenny to the family of fishheads!

Here are a few reproductions Kenny completed!

The Beautiful Brookie from Cecil Baird

Kenny draws his template

Kenny begins to skin

Kenny molds some fins and we also go over silicone molding of the head

Kenny begins to carve

Working on the details

Finding the perfect balance of “FLOW”

Getting it together

Ready to mount his very first fish!!!

Kenny learning the art of taxi – dermy !

Very nice first fish!

Well done Kenny!

My Best!
