Woops ! I meant that about Cecil's comments,.. NOT about the students work,...thats as fine as it gets, but hey, If you invest in your students it shows. Stay on them, and one day they WILL be better than you, and that's what Teaching is all about,..That when your student gets as good as you,...you were a good teacher. (Full Circle)

Thanks Mike! I try to keep things positive on here and I think it is for the most part. How are the eyes coming along Still waiting for that package LOL! Kidding!  I know you'll do well with the eyes!

I will be posting few more student photos as a few folks have asked if I would be putting more up. I typically don't teach during the winter mount s how ever the demand and the need to accommodate folks has allowed me to do this now! I love to teach and this will be great to have the opportunity to do so this winter. More and more folks want to learn and I have been blessed with the privilege to have so many good folks want to learn with me! I have made lots of what I call new family members over they years and it is great to be able to help others.

Here are a few photos of Mr. Bill Willis of MI during diffrent stages of his workshop. His finshed Bass and Trout are ion page 1 of this string!

My Best!

Hey Jeff!

Thanks for the kind words on the Students! I know it is valued and apprecated for all their hard work they have done!

The DVD's are in production Mr. Kulis is working on the first 10 I believe ( well we did 10 or 12?) ( it is kind of a blur) LOL! I don't know 100% but I do believe Joe said they would have several done for the Holiday's. All together I think there will be 30 or so. To date there are LG and SM Bass both skin and repro. Brown both skin and repro, Brookie repro, Rainbow Repro, Steelhead late summer Repro, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some thing!

Thanks again for asking!
I will keep you updated as I get more info!

My Best!

Mr. Travis Petterson of Ketchikan Alaska is spend 2 weeks and I wanted to share some of the diffrent fish he brought. Typically I see a lot of Browns and rainbows and Brookies however Travis brought some cool fish from Alaska to do for his work shop. I will be doing a Pink (Humpy) Salmon essay on Travis and his fish workshop in the next week to come. Here is a few Pictures of his Humpy so far.

Enjoy!

Rick, your turning out some first class fish taxidermists!
the amount of anatomical correctness your students are putting into thier forms is just amazing, and the airbrush painting is above beginner quality. I cant remember all the times ive done a fish body carving demo, given the student a chunk of foam and had them come back with an absolutely flawless reproduction of a baseball bat.
Im looking forward to seeing more finished results.

Where the hell is the instructor? He tells me to shave my head like boot camp, takes my money, sits me in front of this carved body, and disappears!  Angry

Sorry guys just having fun. That last pic just begs for a caption!  Grin Grin Grin

Nice work!

WOW thanks so much for the Kind words!!!

Even Travis thought Cecil was funny Well sort of? LOL!
As all of us who teach know, it is a passion to be able to give what you have to someone else so they can enjoy the same passion. Bill you and so many others have this passion to teach, and the work you do with your students shows! We are taxidermist in a great time to learn!

Travis will have his essay next week as he goes back to Alaska! He is doing great! Lots of notes and lots of pictures. He keeps mumbling something about fish boot camp though! LOL!

Cecil who would want to see my mug!  LOL!

My Best! Thanks again!

Travis
The fish in progress look like they will be  great when finished. Put some finished photos up when done. Grow some hair Alaska will be cold when you get back. Have a safe trip home and a Merry Christmas.
