This is  the bobcat and coyote I just finished yesterday, yes I know the nose and ears on the cat look way too pink and no  they really arent it is my stupid camera causing that look.I used a McKenzie laying down form and altered it into a mantel piece for a rock that I am making to mount it on.It is a Maine bobcat which I purchased on the for sale category on this site.I used Jan Van Hoesen ears back earliners and the mohr slimline jawset on the coyote which I highly recommend both products, excellent and easy to use.I havent decided how I want to do the coyote habitat yet.I did have to do quite a bit of alteration and work to the coyote form to accept the jaws properly.[img][http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x132/bonniespix/taxidermysummer07005.jpg

Mount looks real nice but that pink on the nose and ears needs to be toned down some.

The nose on your cat should be the color of a #2 pencil eraser. Look @ lots of reference pics.

I didn't catch this post at first, so I'm a bit late with a response, but I must say...I really like the way this cat came out! Smiley The pose is fantastic, and it looks very realistic and touchable. She or he looks so relaxed. I wouldn't mind having a mount like this lounging on my couch. Wink It's so strange that your camera really likes to focus on the color pink, though. Yikes.

It likes to focus on the pink (its a digital camera right?) because a digital camera focuses on the brightest color in the photo (white) and bases every other color on that. Thats why if you do not have a good white piece in your picture it will take the next whitest color and and think thats white and it screws up all the other colors. Its because the only white is in the cat and its not pure white. If you have a little piece of white in the background your mount will look alot better.
