I came across these pics tonight and though I'd share them. Might provide good ref. pictures for somebody. They ducks are mallards, the other pic is a pair of Egyptian geese.

Bobby,
Excellant Reference photos. If possible, could you post them under the
"Bird Reference"
category found at the top of the forum page. That way they will be logged in the library and not lost in the thread. Again, great reference of both positioning and eye ring!

The closeups are good reference photos, but those are not typical mallards. They are domesticated mallard derivatives - ie: park ducks.
The dark tails, oversized rumps and bills and the muddy-colored wing bars are a dead giveaway.

Sure, I'll post them along with a few more on the ref. section. And yes they are domesticated mallards, they were our pets.
