Question: I received several skins from Argentina treated with sulphuric acid. Those skins seem like cardboards. My question is : how can I get softer and recuperate the skin elasticity to mount it ? Thanks for helping me.

Rehydrate in a solution of 1/2 pound of salt per gallon of water, as a preventative measure. Neutralise again.  If it was a good tan re-oiling should do the trick. You really need to know weather the tan was cationic, or anionic, to make an oil reccomendation.(positive or negatively charged )
