A FRIEND HAS A DEER HIDE WITH THE FUR SIDE OUT AND A PICTURE HAS BEEN SHAVED INTO THE FUR.  I AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON WHAT THIS TYPE OF ART FORM IS CALLED AND INFO ON HOW IT IS DONE AND WHO DOES IT. ANY INFO PASSED ALONG WOULD BE GREAT. THANK YOU

It sounds like you are talking about an art form called sculpted hides. When my friend went on vacation to Michigan this year, she went to a place called Woodland Creek Furniture and when she came home she showed me their website and all the cool stuff they had. They have sculpted hides. Here is a link.
