Funny how things  happen.I posted on Craig's list my Resume
looking for work in NC.I got a responce from this guy(Roland) in
Chino,CA saying he was moving to NC and would I like to come work for
him, sure we talk a few times on the phone and by Email he seems
nice.He call me up one night and says he got this big order and he
will be needing to make some molds out of silicone so he ask me tons
of questions  about making silicone molds. He tell me that he is working
with a suppler out but not sure of the name of the Co.So I tell him
who I think makes the best silicone and give him a adddress.
Well in the end I sent him a ton of step by step how to make a mold photos
and other info on silicone do and don ts.So I Waite a few days and send
a email asking if the info was useful no reply so two weeks go by I
call him on his cell nothing Waite a week more call the office the girl
tell me he is not in so I leave my info. Then ask her when they were
moving to NC she says what gave me that idea.I tell her I most be
thing of some other Co.So it seems it was all a scam just to get
info.Funny thing is all he had to do in ask in in the first place I
would have helped him.I have not heard from him since.

I hate liars!! Sorry this happened to you, but thankfully all he "stole" from you was information. How can people be so dishonest, I just don't know. Really stinks!

I think you guys forget how unusual this forum is. Most people don't think you will give the information 'for free'. It still amazes me. I love reading all the stuff that comes up. Some of it is over my head, but I'm learning. Thanks for being so open!

I am glad that all he got as well I would have hated to have quit my job that I have been at for 23 years to end up working for some one like that.

Aint life fun..The sad thing is most of any molding/casting intell is out there in many forms at low cost for what is offerd and this is free...
I understand why guys like george and a few others point out THE ORANGE BUTTON yet out of kindness and consideration the intell still flows......
                                                 Good thing.............
      Live learn and enjoy .................................

Hey rodlock!  Did I tell you I am moving to NC Grin
When I made my molds about a year ago i had a tough time getting info, and espically pics.
Like unvulcanized silicone and fishing lure molds, more than one place wanted to sell me $150 worth of RTV silicon rather than help me do what I wanted to do.  Then when I called about silicone disks used in spin casting and told them I was only interested in 1-2 sets or bulk silicone, they misquoted me prices by at 50%.  And getting info on the vulcanizing pricess was not very easy either I really had to search numberious places for info.
But lying, theirs no need.
