I would also like to know what's going on with this. Are the licenses available yet?

The PA Dept. of Ag. is combating a personel shortage that is the cause of the delays.  The rules and regualtions have been finalized and a handbook is being put together.  Everything should be ready in about 3 weeks.  As long as Dr. Mary Martin has your info you will be getting a package in the mail.  It will have the Taxidermists' Handbook of Regulations and a PDA License application.  If you've previously held a PGC Taxidermy permit you're already on that list.  If you haven't held a permit before you need to call the PDA to get on the Registration list.  Call Dr. Mary Martin at 717-783-6897.

For those of you waiting patiently for your first taxidermy license--do not let the fact that the PDA was not ready for the transition keep you from getting everything else in order to open your business.   Call the PA Dept. of Revenue and get set up with a Sales Tax license.  The PGC has told me it is ok for you to accept work as long as you keep accurate records and have put your name on Mary Martin's list.  Personally, I would wait for your license to actually perform any of that work though---better safe than sorry.
Good luck and have a great first season in business!
