Pickleing: "To mix a vinegar pickleing solution- for every 2 lbs of skin weight, mix 2 quarts of white ninegar to 2 qts. of water and add one pound of salt. The PH should be 2.0-2.5. Allow skins to soak 2-3 days.

Tanning: "after you have removed skin from pickle- add to the pickle solution: 5.0 fluid ounces by volume or 6.5 ounces by wieght or 2/3 cup of Ritlles KWIK-TAN (KT-10) per 1lb of skin weight: stir solution and then place skins back into solution. PH should be 4.0. if not adjust it. To adjust the PH higher-dissolve bakeing sode into some water and pour small amounts into your solution, stir and then wait 10 mins before rechecking. If it should go over 4.0 ph simple add some white vinegar in small amounts.

Leave skins in tanning solutuion for 12-20 hours, When tanned, remove the skins, rinse and drain for 2-30 mins- then oil.

Oiling- 1 part pro plus oil to 2 parts hot water from tap- rub or brush the oil and water onto the flesh side of skin.
