The Week in Fish Pictures~ Year 2# Week#6

Welcome from Anglers Artistry in Hinsdale New Hampshire!. I must say there has been some truly tremendous fish work so far this year! It made me think where do all these talented folks get started. I thought it would be interesting and kind of fun to see if any one out there would like to share some of the Early work they did way back when even if when was a few months ago. Let give it a shot along with the other great work we all have come to expect each and every week!

Week #6 of the second year was great and lots of truly tremendous works of art! I love to see new folks show up and show there stuff and it is a gift always to have the faithful each week show their talent too!!

From beginner's to the best in the world we all join in every week in a critique free and hassle free string with nothing more then great artist and inspiring fish taxidermist and carves get together to share with one another their praise and inspiration of good will and friendship to one another.
So with out further ado lets get  week #6 under way.

I want to start the week with a theme of sorts. With so many really gifted and gracious folks who give there pictures every week and I thought it would be neat to share some photos of the beginning of some of these wonderful artists work from way back when. Of course the lasted work you have done is always welcome I just thought it might be kind of fun to share some old work and maybe have a laugh of 2!

OK so here are the 2 oldest photos I can find of my taxidermy work some time ago. I'm still laughing! So is Kathie!!
So here we go and here is to a great week #6 and a great new year! Enjoy!

My Best!
Your friend
Rick Krane

Here is a Bass from 1985 I was working on I wish I could find the finshed picture! Late night mounting session! LOL!

Here is a Brown trout I did for a fly fishing Banquest back in 1986. I remember the fish but who is the guy holding it? LOL!

Here goes.
I dont have any goofy photos of me in my younger days, but Ill do the best i can.  Wink

3 sets of firsts
All done in 1994

my first crappies. Skin mounts half cast. skin is cracked and well WOW. LOL oh geez the eyes are so bad.

Then My first trout. I am pretty happy with this as a first trout! A small stream brown. I cast the head in plaster. and carved the form out of florists foam.

And Last My first Bluegill. A chunky female that died in vain! LOL Aghh duct tape fin backing and a white ring around its eye to boot. LOL

I was going to toss these beauty's on Ebay but my wife said not to.
She said she didn't want to deal with me being all depressed when they sold for more then what i get for what I do now. You know how Ebay is. Id throw them up call them Vintage and BAM!!! LOL  Grin

Rick, old pics are always fun to look back on...how time does change things !

Josh, your work has certainly come a long way. Nice to remember where you started from !

I SKIN mounted this steelhead, that I caught in Oct., using cast head and fins. I decided against molding it, as it was a little too big for the methods I like to use.

What awesome fish work from back in the day! LOL! Doug I can relate to the hair thing! It is neat to see where we have come from and where we have arrived today. It is all a journey that never ends we just keep learning and striving toward a fish we can be pleased with through our inspiration given to us from our creator!

here are a few more pictures I dug up this morning LOL! No bad hair shots however ( thank goodness)

Your friend Rick

Here is  Smallie piece I did back in 89

Here is  king I did back in early 90s

Here is my late Father in-law 14 Lb Walleye from the early 90's
