brackets for skulls and antlers

I have invented many ways to show off a trophy animal. I would really appreciate some feedback on my adjusta shed system??? I have had alot of people ask if I would include a covering system between the sheds and I think it would take away from my products purpose. I also have experimented with my Adjusta-buck. I am trying to figure out the best way to easly cover the skull plate. These are all located on my website.

thanks you

I personally think the adjusta-shed is really cool. The issue seems to be that alot of people are interested in making sheds look like a harvested animal as opposed to just a shed display. Could you possible develop a manequin system that would allow peopel to attach their sheds? Another thing would be to have one of your brackets that would attach to a pre-fab skull. Just spit balling here, but hopefully it will help. Cool stuff though.

I like your brackets but am one of those that hates to see a dealer put his sticker all over my new truck or anything for that matter. Especially like something strong for Elk. Nice design. Good Luck neighbor.

I agree with RD - a little too much IMO. Do you make them without the logo?

Thanks guys for the input.... To answer the first question, I do think your right people seem to want to make something they found look like something harvested. I have had heard that from alot of taxidermists. I brought that this year to the big horn show and people seemed to give me the same input. It was half and half. Some asked if i made a fake skull or put the sheds on a manikin. When I told them its just the way it looks it took them a second and then they said,O i got ya. You can interchange sheds on my adapter system with the untwisting of a nut. so its cool like that, I personally take hunting so serious that things I harvest and things I find I wouldnt want to be mixed up. But like you siad i am making a product for the consumer and it needs to really fit what they want if i want to sell a ton of them.
The second question... Could or do I make them with out my name??? I dont as of now. I have had lots of taxidermists ask me that question or if i could cut something out thats different. This year my loyal buyers will have the option of getting there taxidermy name cut out instead of Racked-Out. The reason I dont leave them blank is like you know, the marketing of the name on the product. I would put the name smaller if I could but then it defeats the ratio on the bullet casing. Putting no logo on the product really hurts a smaller company from protection of copy cats.... Im trying to sell more than just a functional product. I am trying to sell a Racked-Out product.
The third question.. Do i make brackets for elk size sheds??? Yes I do. I have a few pictures of moose sheds that I have done this spring. They are a bit harder to give room for adjustment since the weight and variance in size is so great from one set to another. but yes i do make them. thanks guys

I understand the need to have your logo on your product. Here is some constructive criticism for you. You may want to have a logo (trademark) made that would be known as the " Racked-Out" logo. It would be much smaller and you can still have it on each of your products. The other thing that catches my eye is that on your round back plates," Racked-Out" starts on the upper right and ends on the lower left. That makes it harder to read because it reads right to left. It makes me want to tip my head sideways to read it. IMO it should start in the lower left and end in the lower right. Other than that I like your product. I love seeing new ideas come into the market place. Great job keep it up.

Oh I totally feel you there about just a logo. I get the question about the writing on the round peice a lot and I appreciate you helping me out. When I first came up with the designs I drew up a broadhead and a bullet casing. I tried to make the back plate match the two most common methods of hunting. I then specd out a magnum bullet casing to use as a model for the round design. So the ratio between the primer hole and the outer deminsions is that of a magnum bullet. Then I looked at the writting. The manufacturer's name "like Winchester would be written on the top of the bullet casing and then would be upside down if you spun it. So I made Racked-Out the manufacturer name and put it just like it would be on a bullet. And of course the only way to get the name on the casing was to spin the shell. I get that alot. I even have thought about changing it to like you said but I cant get myslef to do it opposite of a real bullet casing just cause it looks better because Im sure I would get some marksmen to look at it and say. Hey bud you got the name on there wrong.lol.
Thanks for the input and as far as a logo??? I actually trademarked the name as is because I originally a couple years ago wanted to make hunting apparrell and hunting films. I love antlers and I just couldnt get on exact antler to use as a logo. Im trying though. And then of course I shot a bull that I got europeaned and wanted to figure out a way to make something to hold it off the wall, so a buddy and I started playing around with ideas. It took about 72 brackets later before I got to wear I am now with the euro-systems. The adjusta-shed, adjusta-buck, and adjusta-bull came to be after in my spare time.
I love the feedback its helps.
