Using baby chicks?
«

Is there a way to preserve quail chicks? Such as injecting them with something? Maybe that bird feet injection fluid? Im sure someone out there has done this before. I dont know anyone with a freeze dryer.
Basically these pipped but did not hatch. They are fully formed.
THey are currently in a vaccuum sealed bag in the fridge. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Rae

If you are asking if you can mount them by injection fluid only the answear is no. Freeze drying is the best way.

Thank you
Yes that is what I was asking. If freeze drying is the best way, is there another way? Or is freeze drying the only way?

Good advice, freeze dry em! Click on suppliers at top of page, there should be several freeze driers there.

Im shure you could mount it the old fashioned way if you really wanted too. Probally still cheaper to freeze dry, unless you have lots of free time.

Western Rivers is correct on
http://www.kastaway.com/
Joe is the man that got me interested in taxidermy some 30 years. My eyes still bulge out of my head when I still walk into his shop. If I am not mistaken he was the first to do freeze dry taxidermy commercially.
