The Week in Fish Pictures~ Year 2# Week#11

Welcome from Hinsdale New Hampshire!. Last week was a great week!!! We all got to enjoy some new folks as well as some of our talented regulars!!! Great work to all!!
I was asked this past week in a email why don't we critique on this week in fish pictures. I replied with this simple answer. The fun we have here and enjoy is that we all accept that we are taxidermist in progress! I added that in the fish section we critique by request and are a special group on the forum full of help and a kind nudge in the right direction to help all who brave the waters to ask a question or two to get the help needed to do better work for customers or just for self satisfaction! Give your self a pat on the back for being great folks!

Great work last week by Wild Bill, Jerry, Pete S, Will, Nate, Uncle Dave, Jon S, Rick ( whisper ), Mr, Bauman, and Buckslayer! Super work and Big thanks for sharing and aspiring all of us!

From beginner's to the best in the world we all join in every week in a critique free and hassle free string with nothing more then great artist and inspiring fish taxidermist and carves get together to share with one another their praise and inspiration of good will and friendship to one another.
So with out further ado lets get week #11 under way.

I want to start the week with a few of Anglers Artistry family members some who just joined and one who thinks he is a bird guy who's really a fish guy at heart! LOL!  For the past 10 days Mr Mike Meszaros of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mike owns and operates A-1 Taxidermy a full time taxidermy shop has been doing some great fish work!. Mike has been working on a reproduction Walleye,Northen Pike and a few skin fish as well this past many days. Here is Mikes Northen Pike reproduction and conventionally mounted taxidermy Walleye real head, fins etc I it still is lots of fun to teach the conventail ways along with all the new stuff we do here at the School.
The other friend who sent me a few pictures this week is Wold Champion Bird Taxidermist Paul Czarnecki of Waterford, PA. Paul shares 2 fish this week a d beautiful Smallie and a great Largemouth bass! Great work guys!

So here we go and here is to a great week #11! Enjoy!

My Best!
Your friend
Rick Krane

Here is Mikes,  Lou Wynia Northen Pike reproduction! Great Reproduction and great work by Mike!

That walleye is my favorite!!! Man is the eye set great, and the fins are so amazingly natural!!!  Great job.  Nailed that one for sure. JThe detail in that Northern is absolutely great.  The bean spots are very natural as well.  I did a 44" blank from Wynia, and the blank was top notch as well.  The only bad thing is, the bigger the fish is ,the more scales that need to be tipped!!!!!   Rick, glad to see your students are still putting out the outstanding work!!  There was never any doubt.  Kevin, phenominal Brown.  They seem like they are a very difficult fish to paint.  Way to go!!  Great work.

Oh yea it molded great! the cast is very nice as well, but it takes a bunch of silicone and time. and I dont really have the time to invest in doing a production mold at this point, until then the blank is just staring at me. LOL

Here is a pic
Its from when Rick stopped by a few weeks back

not a detail shot but you can see the pose i went with

Thanks, guys.  Josh, the brownie is 20".  That was a fun one to paint.  You can't see the scale tipping, but that turned out pretty good.  She had a lot of gold and light green.

Greetings, I do not have any fish pictures to put here but I want to comment on the outstanding work that is put on here every week. Very nice brown trout, as well as the walleye and the pike.
I am curious how long some of the taxidermist have been mounting fish that post fish pictures here? The work is incredible.
