I tanned a badger using arrowhead tanning crystals but forgot to degrease it first. Before i tanned it i washed it with dawn dish soap. Do i need to use an actual degreaser or was the dawn enough? Can i still degrease after the tan?

you can tell by feeling skin if it still needs degreased - i degrease with acetone but a lot of people use dawn - it doesnt matter if you can or shouldnt degrease after tan if it is still grease laden you dont have any choice

The bt scour makes a great degreaser. I wash all my greasy hides with it before putting it in to the pressure tanner.
