I was going through some of my digital pics on this here computer and ran across these two.
Maybe Georges buck DID in fact have cougar eyes.
These are LIVE deer, so it can't be blamed on decomp.
My daughter took these and I forgot about them.

Fawns are generally born with blue eyes.

The brown fawns didn't have them, only the piebald ones did.
I remember that one of the fawns had one blue and one brown eye
as well as some of the adult piebalds had one blue eye as well.

I agree with you though that newborn fawns will have a bluish eye for awhile.
Not sure how long it lasts.

Adult with one blue and one brown eye.
A little hard to see in this pic though.
The blue eye is on the left.

Once I get a new scanner, I have some nice blue eyed deer pics, among so many others.

I have a great idea!
Let's go together and get Bill a new scanner for Christmas.
It would be well worth it to see the pics he has.
I'd just be happy to see the big droptine in hard bone.

I joined only because I found this on a Internet search. And I am looking for the exact same thing. I am not a taxidermist. But a hunter that harvested an old mountain lion with blue eyes. And want my taxidermist to recreate this lion the way it should be. I want to show you a live picture of him. But can't figure out how to attach it. If you send me an email at serafine@fone.net. I will send you a picture.
But mainly want to see if you had any luck with your search for the blue eyes.
Also would be interested in seeing your work and knowing where you are located. I think it I cool that you are taking the time to match a blue eyed cougars eyes.
I'm not sold on having the local guy do mine. I had a great taxidermist before. Unfortunately he turned out to be a criminal. The guy who I'm trying out now has done some nice deer and elk. I heard he turned out a nice lion for my houndman. But I haven't seen it. I asked him for samples of his cats. He showed me a picture of one that he did when he first started out. I wasn't terribly impressed.  So I am a little nervous. Since I lost my first cat to the criminal guy. I do know good work. I work in the hunting business and deal with a lot of taxidermy. So I know the Level of talent it takes to do a lion. I look forward to hearing from you. Geez, I hope this reaches somebody, it took me some time to write this. I live in the SW. Corner of Colorado FYI. JoshBoren

We do blue eyes for deer and cougar among other things and plenty of variations in between: blue going to yellow, green to yellow, blue fading to brown for the deer, etc.  Just give us a call at (800) 441-5983 or drop an email with pictures to info@tohickonglasseyes.com.
