Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone!!  That said; I have a deer cape, tanned with EZ-100 and oiled with Rittel's Pro Oil.  The cape has a nice golden look to the leather but when I do any final thinning with the skife, the hide underneath is white.  My question is:  Is the hide really tanned and should I re-oil before mounting??  BTW , the cape was in the tan 22 hrs, Ph- 4.5-5, give or take.  Thanks in advance for any input.
