Does it have the feet attached? Is it tanned? It would have to be a pretty rouph skin for it to go for $12.

That is what I have been hearing for Unskinned coyotes in my area.
If they are in good shape, not slipping and mountable you might be able to get $30-40 on here.

This brings up a question similar to the bobcat thread a few weeks ago.....
Why do people pay $40+ for them on here to mount. Why is there a double standard for taxidermist and fur buyers??

Arkfisher, you get more for taxidermy because of all the extra work and care given to the skin. The feet are skinned out, accurate measurements are taken, and some guys even turn everything and flesh /salt.Coyotes are nasty critters and smell up the shop.I wouldn't sell a fleshed ,turned and salted coyote for less than 70.00 if the fur is premium.

I would say that 75% of the yotes on here are sold whole...that's what I'm asking about. Obviously if I'm going to dorsal skin, turn and salt one..I'm going to be compensated for it. I just don't see why you buy a whole frozen yote on here for $40+ and in the fur trade you can only get 15 or so...

Maybe alot of buyers on here don't have nice prime coyoytes in their area and will pay more to get a good one.Look at the price of wolves. You can buy just the pelt for 100-150 average when you look at fur report sales in canada. When they are sold for taxidermy purposes it jumps up to 500.00 or more.

I wouldn't give more than 15.00 if the damn thing had hooves either!!!
