oiling for wet tan
«

Is this really a necessary step? I do my own tanning and never have a problem with stretch or anything like that. the capes turn out great and easy to work with when mounting and i never oil them. I use to work at a tannery where we would add a bit of oil to the tanning bath itself but never directly oiled wet tanned skins and the capes were the nicest ive worked with out of any tannery i've tried.
