Thanks Lou,  That was great I am still on the Job and it amazes me how stupid people are.  I told my wife that I want to taxidermy when I retire because I will be quite tired of dealing with people by then.

I'm not a cop and I realize he was only trying to control the situation and help the guy out. But you know, "you just can't fix stupid"!LOL! The loser will most likely hire some lawyer and try to get the officer for playing to rough!

HA! HA! I am a retired deputy (due to injury on the job) and am proud to say that I don't miss it a bit......I'm lying, I really do miss it; but I sure don't miss "stupid" people!!  I had more people talk themselves into a ticket or a trip to jail than I can count...no matter how hard they tried they just couldn't keep their trap shut!  I bet the idiot in the clip still can't figure out why that even happened; but I also bet that NEXT TIME he'll dang sure listen!

DT's must be a little different in that state. If it works use it. Glad to see I am not the only officer interested in Taxidermy. Keep the videos coming.

The guy probably never did anything his parents told him to do either. He should have listened to his parents more, lol. I think that is justifiable force.

Please do as the officers ask if you are ever in this situation.

I'm still an officer also.  I got three years left, then its fulltime taxidermy.  Lets say its no more police work.  I own a gun shop and taxidermy business and neither feel like part time now.  That was quick thinking on the officers part and smart.  It didn't give the guy time to fight.  This probably actually saved the suspect injury.

Enjoy? Enjoy watching an assualt? He got choke slammed for having his hands in his pockets, and could have been innocent, of any wrong doing. We live in a free society, where we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but police officers can assualt anyone, at anytime, and get away with it. Every time I watch Cops, I get pissed, because I see someone attacked, that didnt really deserve it. Oh, he looked amped, from 20ft away, under a cars headlights. Whats that all about? If his hands wernt in his pockets, he would have still got his ass kicked, if he did not follow the officers instructions. The officer based his attack, on the words of another person, who could have been the one who started the mess in the first place. I know im going to get slammed for this, but I think polce officers have too much freedom, when it comes to physical force. And before anyone says it, I do realize the danger of their job, and the genuine threat of a SERIOUS criminal, and I do appreciate their sacrifice, in life threatening situations.

I guess you just can't understand till you do the job.  Why does the guy refuse to take his hands out of his pockets.  Its real simple, if I'm asked to take my hands out of my pockets I do.  What does it hurt to do what is asked.  He was not asked to do anything that was harmful or disrespectful.  He was asked to do something that was entirely for the officers safety.  About him being innocent I doubt that.  I have found over the last 17 years that the innocent normally cooperate completely.  I'm sure there was a reason that he did not want to take his hands out of his pockets and it was probably because he had a weapon or an illegal substance.  My number one goal everyday when I walk out onto my beat is to go home to my family at night.  My second goal is to protect and serve the public.  I would say at that exact time he was looking out for number one.  I never allow anyone to keep their hands in their pockets either until they have been patted down.

I have to agree, Pirate. It was a simple request. He had nothing to lose in complying with the request. There are many small but lethal guns that can be hidden in a pocket. I'm sure that is the first concern with these circumstances. I know it would be mine.

I do agree there is a line, but this cop didn't cross it, IMHO.

Pirate, I agree with you 100%. Safety should be at the top of everyones list including the "supposed to be innocent until proven guilty" gentleman who likes to hide his hands. Some people are just hard headed. Hang in there, three years isn't too long. Be safe.

This brought back memories after 36 years of Law Enforcement.  It just amazes me how people react when told to do something.  It's like when someone of authority says something it automatically tells the brain to rebel.  Oh, I still love those memories and now I really enjoy instructing students who want to advance there skills in Game Head Mounting.  Thanks.
