Thanks! lol I'm glad I got it to work too, because I was in the middle of shaving a krowtanned cape and I just wanted to finish that so I could neutralize, wash and then bag it up and freeze it.

You might keep a fan on it while working to prevent overheating...just a thought.
Glad you are back in biz!!!!

NINA..You need a dedicated circuit of 20 amps run from the panel with 12/2 wire. Your circuit is
overloaded and causing the windings in the motor to heat up, thus tripping the thermal protection that is built in. The motor should be fine if you are proactive and correct the problem. If you keep running it this way it will eventually become damaged.
AMY....your equipment had a short on the neutral circuit and you were feeling the current that was trying to return to the ground of the panel. Not extremely dangerous but not a good thing either. With the right conditions like, standing in a puddle of water for instance, you could have been severely injured.

Nina , it sound like you over heated the motor , and you will probably need a new motor.
Try this look in your yellow pages under electrical . Look for someone that repairs electrical motor , call them and try to get a 3/4 to a 1 horse power motor , ( a rebuilt one ) 1735 RPM and your problem should go away.

Actually, I fully agree with livbucks....get a dedicated circuit.
