I can't remember whether this has been posted or not, but it is such a great animal, its worth
posting again. My information says t his Elk was killed with a bow in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.  He
green scored 575" and should net out at about 530" non typical.   He has
and unbelievable outside spread of 79".   This is the biggest bull ever
 taken with any weapon

Hi Bill
I believe that this bull was killed in Canada, Not in Idaho like the guy says, Atleast thats the last story I heard about him.
It is a truly magnificant bull though.

I found an article on a Montana web site when I first heard about this giant, If I remember right this bull was raised on a high fenced farm in Canada. They had a picture of the same bull in velvet eating a protein shake with a high fence in the background. What a shame

I would not be surprised that the information I posted is false. But, that is the info
that came with the photo. I am sure there is a true fact out there somewhere.
I do recall seeing an elk similar to this one for sale for $75,000 on some website. It
was in a fenced enclosure.

The preserve it came out of was from "Laurention", in Quebec. Price's for canned hunts are not as expensive as you think. 400-425 class bulls go for 10,000$
