Travis... LOVE the head shot!
Here's some sockeye photos I took a couple of years ago. It was a different camera than I use now; the lighting on it was tricky and many photos wound up way too dark. Still, they are photos of live fish and I do use them when I have the opportunity. I don't believe I've shared these on here before, on a different thread. I used a dipnet to gently scoop them out, photograph them and then back into the water they went. The stream shot... the whole thing was like that for as far as we hiked. It was cool.

John, in case you're serious..........the 'fangs' will develop on some salmon as the spawning process continues. These are sockeye or red salmon which are not known for their 'fangs'. It's primarily the chum or dog salmon that develop 'fangs'. Hope that helps.....................but a very good point. When we go through the process of creating individual 'teeth' we do have a tendency to exaggerate..............or possibly/probably we've not developed the process of creating smaller, more subtle, 'more natural' 'teeth'.
