cartilage in ears wont dry and hair is starting to slip please help!

i currently keep the ear cartilage in the ears of all my mounts and use earliners with them.they are taking way too long to dry.i have a dehumidifier and that isnt helping that much and a boar that i have been waiting on the drying the hair is starting to slip inside the ears and some epidermis is coming off.they dry on the outer ear but the inner detail that i am trying to keep just wont dry completely.

dont touch it ,leave it alone ,put it under a fan and let it dry,

Why leave the cartilage in with earliners? That should have nothing to do with the drying time though. Don,t fool with them.  Let it dry.

What kind of adhesive did you use on the ear?  Leaving the ear cartilage in with an earliner would make a very thick ear. I would suggest taking the cartilage off if you are going to use earliners. Try a mount with out using cartilage and see if it drys any different.

The cartilage comes out really easy if you just take your time and go slowly.  There's at least one photo tutorial on here that you could use.

i leave the ear cartilage in to keep the inner ear detail.i have done it by taking the cartilage out.i personally just like it better cause you dont have to blend the skin into the eppley ear liner with the detail and it leaves the little hairs also.works great on deer. just not boar obviously.oh and i use buckeye ive used the epoxy stuff but i have a problem with it cracking off of the earliner.

If you take the cartilage all the way out you shouldn't have to do any blending with apoxie? I lay the skin over the inner ear detail in the bottom of the liner.

Nothing exceptional? It's just when I take the cartilage out of a ear I take it all the way out. I don't cut off the bottom of the ear.

Dude!...You're bound to be creating some massively thick ears if you're using an Eppley liner and leaving the cartledge in!...Dang!

Yeah, when you're removing cartilage, you can still leave the trimmed earbutt on the bottom of the ear for the inner ear detail.  just tuck it down inside the ear.

   You dont mind extra thick ears? I know another guy who does it that way. I guess the majority of customers probably dont even notice it.
