whitetail deer antlers--casting question

Has anybody ever had trouble with streaking in the antlers after they pull them out of the mold. When I say streaking i mean if you were to hold the antlers in the right light you can see that there are parts of the antlers that look like they have a finish or maybe a sheen and then there might be a strip that looks like maybe it don't have a finish on it. When the mold is totally cured it will not help. This causes the rack to paint inconsistent. I can give you a perfect example it would be just like when you get a sunburn and you peel, you can pull a little skin off where it is peeling and right beside that it will look normal. Where the rack looks like there is no finish is where it will take more color, believe me this is a complete pain in the butt.. I am using fiberglass resin with some fillers for weight sometime pigment is used and every now and then I will thin it a little. I know it will be hard to diagnose this problem without knowing my exact formula but I am sure there is somebody that can help. Thanks for all the great Post, always very helpful.

I use a rtv silicone rubber with a fiberglass mother mold. In my original post i put when the mold is cured it will not help. I meant to say when the cast is cured it looks the same, no improvement. Does not matter wether it is right out of the mold or sit overnight in the mold no improvement.
