In case you all have missed what is going on with TERF and the Veteran's Day Fund raiser Buck and I are having on the forum, go to the Current Events section and read the Take that stupid elephant off By Golly...post to catch up.

Over the last two days, Buck organized a fund raiser marathon on the forum. We got 600 hits on it, but out of all those hits only SEVEN people actually took up the challenge and donated or pledged a donation to TERF. All we asked for was $5 a person or whatever you can give.

Well, a nine year old girl in Germany donated a quarter to TERF. You may laugh and say what's a quarter going to do any good? Consider this forum having 3,000 members, if each member would have donated only a quarter we would've had $750 in donations. That would have been enough to help out one taxidermy studio in need of help. Now that puts the quarter in a different perspective doesn't it? Unfortunately only a very few find TERF important enough to support it.

TERF solely depends on donations to survive. It is run by NTA volunteers and its webpage and space has also been donated. TERF is the industries ONLY fund that helps every taxidermist in need of help after a natural disaster, whether or not he or she is a member of any state or national organization. All they have to be to qualifiy for aid is to be a full or part time taxidermist and generate a certain annual income from taxidermy. I have not come across another industry that has anything like this fund of their own. TERF is unique, and it is here to stay for the long run.

Please, with the holiday season approaching, consider giving some to TERF. After all, you may be giving to your self, because no one knows where nature and disaster will strike next. If a little girl in Germany cares enough about us, we should too.

Thank you for reading this message and supporting TERF.

We got our first pledge of $25.  Smiley

Anyone would like to follow suit? 70 people looked at the post and only one pledge. Very sad indeed. Undecided

Buck I believe he just did Cheesy

Well, what a sad start to Monday morning. I came on here checking to see how many donations we may have gotten, and I must say out of 160 hits, it is still only ONE donation. That is truly pathetic, considering that this is OUR fund for OUR benefit, and we don't care enough to donate $5 or less to the cause. I am beginning to loose hope that taxidermists care about each other.  Cry

You all have a great day. I am going to write a check to TERF now, because I DO care.

I have the little girls Quarter !   and I'm not going to give it up !.. No...I'm keeping it ! Do you know why ?....It's like this,..since it's my first collected donation for TERF, and being that,.. to a Kid a quarter means alot, in the eyes of a child, and children seam to be able to look beyond, and see things in a wonderful carefree world that consists of a happy cheerful,..playful, care-free time where sharing and giving seam to come out naturally,..(except if it's Candy !)...even in an adult grown-up world where,..in a child's point of view is sometimes hard to understand why and how-come ? I've found in that Quarter a meaning worth much more than a mere .25 cents !...Yes,..I've come to realize it's worth,..much,..much,..more than that....for me it's a start in a direction down a trail that I don't quite know where it will end !   and someday, I hope I can look back on that day, that a little girl gave me a quarter,..for someone in need,...  and I can say that, it was one of the the richest gift's a child ever gave to me.......down life's many roads.

Thanks ! Buck.....

We got another pledge for $25 late last night. TERF really appreciates the help it is getting from those who support this fund. Thank you. Smiley

Still the response is very weak, three donations out of 400+ hits. Come on folks, you can do better then that.
It is YOUR fund we are trying to raise money for.
