Merchant Credit Card Service

I know that this is discussed, but I am very confused and concerned about selecting a credit card service. Please share some information about what companies some of you are dealing with and what are the up front costs, monthly fees, cancellation charges, etc. I have avoided cards for years, but the time has come to begin accepting them. I do have wireless broadband and a land line phone in my shop, if that will improve the type of provider I select. Thanks.

Call your local bank that you deal with and they can set you up with a merchant's set up. Some times they will even come to your place of business. I have Visa, mastercard machine. The bank will be able to furnish you with the charges. All bank's may vary.

I use my company bank. They came out and hooked up my machine for me. It really doesn't matter what they charge, they are all close. I raised my prices $25.00 and believe me that covers any and all charges you will incur. I had problems with 2 different merchant service companies, so I switched to my bank, no more problems, and if you have a question, you can talk to them face to face. Tim Ü
