What happens if you forget to put salt in the lutan mix?The hides were salted down before the pickle and then pickled in Safetee acid at a PH of 1.5 for three full days then pulled out Neutralized then put in Lutan.This morning I remembered I forgot salt.Can I put it in have way through?This morning when I stirred them up I did a pull hair test towards the back of the cape and they were good.I was planning on taking them out tonight.Am I o.k.?

I would put the salt in , Lutan is a form of Alum. It works very well at tightening hair follicles in the skin. If the directions call for salt I would use it.
