I mix figerglass resin with cabosil to thicken it add the hardner then add dry dirt and mix well. The dirt must be real dry or it won't harden. I think they sell a gel type figerglass resin. When it hardens it looks like mud. Another way is to glue the dirt down to the base then put envirotex on top. That also gives it a real wet look.

Quickest mud available is made with foam.  For every 3 ounces of mixed foam, add 1/2 ounce of BLACK LACQUER PAINT.  Prettiest mud you'll ever see.  Perfect for marsh flats.  Just a caution:  it cures MUCH SLOWER than regular foam and will need to harden overnight before you can work with it.  It retains a lot of flexibility as well.

if you're going to use acyual dirt, make sure its completely dry before mixing it with evior-tex or resin or it will mold.

Someone in an earlier post said that you could find aerosol can envirotec at home depot.  What department would that be in.  Tried to go yesterday, and neither I nor the salesman knew where to start looking.
