Does anyone have any tips on how to make driftwood have a brushed metal look.  If so, the techniques and paints to do it.  Got some customers who want it, but have no clue how to do it.  Any help would be great.  Josh

2 part polyurethane plastic (look for some with a long pot life - artstuf.com maybe?  got some a while back from them that had 15 minute stuff), then mix together & mix in powdered metals.

Same process when they "cold cast" stuff.  You'll have to play with a mix ratio of metal to plastic, then brush it on...

OR

Try some of the "metallic" spray paints.

OR

Try some of the "metallic" artist paints (usually acrylic)

try matallic gold acrilic paint. Paint it on real thick and let dry, then take some watered down black paint and brush it on. it will settle in all the cracks and divits, let the black dry and if you need it to look a little darker throw on another layer. after everything is dry spray it down with some high gloss.  Don't know if this is the look you are wanting but it looks really good. Try it on something small and check it out, I'm sure you will like it.
