When you measure a birds girth do you take the measurement around the wings or under them?

BigB,
 think about this, were your ever measured for a tux or suit jacket? how did the taylor measure your chest? the tape went under your arms, not over them, same applies when mearuring girth on a bird. If I sound like a wise guy thats not the intention, just apply some common sense.
