Looks good for #1. But maybe its the picture or maybe it me, But I think the ear looks a little far down on the head. But all in all not bad.

When a gazelle wake up in the morning it knows it must out run the fastest lion to survive. When a lion wakes up it knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle to survive. the point is when the sun comes up you better be running

Your ear butts are to low move them up. Not bad for the first, just study your reference.

Your ears look a little to thin and too cupped.  may just be the angle though.  a front shot would help.

Part of the problem with your ears is you did not rebuild your skull plate on the back of the head. Tear ducts are not tucked all the way The wings on your nose pad needs to come up farther that will align the hair patterns thta are off in the front of the nasal cavity. Study reference of deer get some pics don't try to wing it.  Practice makes perfect or close to it .

The ear is definitely the thing that stands out the most. As the others mentioned, too narrow, too low and far back on the head, ear butt not big enough and no skull built up in the back.

If you study reference, you'll see the ear sits tight up against the antler in a forward postion.

Your eye shape looks close...way better than my first.

You'll hear it over and over, and for good reason, studying reference is the only way to get a mount to look really good. Get a deer calendar, deer pictures, look at magazines and books...any picture of a LIVE deer you can find...study it...note how things line up. You'll see that most deer are actually slightly different, there is no cookie cutter deer...but there are definitely common traits.

Keep at it...you'll get better with each mount.

I'd rather try and fail, then fail to try.
