the first time I saw this in pictures and words explained ,I gave it a go. Only thing instead of stopping the cut I go all the way to the ''heel'' of the bird taking the foot off. But it definately makes for better fleshing and a cleaner breast. I won't go back to the breast incision.

This post is years old. I switched to this after he posted it and it works great. The other advantage to this is that the feathers naturally lay over the seam and covers it well.
