Rich H.

Was that caribou hunt you and Rooster done a Haul Road trip? I've driven that road many times up there, had some real good times! The mountains behind Rooster look like the start of the valley to the pass.

I hunt the haul road with my bow every year, yes rooster got his at galbraith lake and i took mine about a mile north of slope mountain, and the other guy lance got his about 3 miles north of slope mountain by the sag.... we had an awesome trip, every time i go its awesome....lol... I will tell you a quick story, on the first night in the tent we were all sleeping and the next thing i know rooster and lance are making all this noise and they woke me up and the next thing you know a grizzly pushed our tent in right by my head, you should have seen the look on these texans face's....lmao... so i went out there with my 454 and chased the bear away, No shot even fired....lmao... I laughed my self back to sleep....lmao

I wasn't going to, but I love showing pictures!   And since more are throwing them on here I thought what the heck!

First 3 are from this past year.  Bow season was almost non-existent for me.  Now to find the time to mount my own stuff.

Another one from a couple of years ago.  Hate to get the critiques going on it!

Another month I can try this again!

A couple of years ago.

Dang bobby thats a nice deer! and i see we also have the same cap lol. Those gobblers from last weekend?

Nope, those big toms are opening day of last year!  Mine has 4 beards (longest was 10"), my brothers had a 11" beard.  We love calling these birds in, but we lost our main turkey spot a few years ago.  We are still looking for places to beg and plead our way in to hunt them.  They don't seem to be gobbling here yet.  Been out at nights listening and nothing yet!  Have you been out yet?  Are they talkin' up there yet?

This one is from 2006.  Won the turkey contest at Cabela's.  11 1/2" beard, 1 1/4 spurs, and 20 lbs.

That deer was a true freak for these parts (free range that it).  Normally the free range WT around here are like my first pic, around 115" or so.  And can you believe he gave me two chances!  I drew back on him at 15 feet the night before but couldn't see thru my peep it was too dark.  He spooked off and I thought I'd never see him again.  Well he returned the next night about 15 minutes earlier and at 25 yards.  That was all I needed!
