Lol.  She came walking up the hill about 20ft or so away from me.  That nice hole was done with a 20ga.  Needless to say she didn't run very far.  I was told by a friend I look like a road cone, lmao.  I was seriously bundled up.

Congratulations on your first deer,
here in the UK hunters are obsessed with camouflage clothing when hunting, yet here you are with in almost fluorescent orange from head to toe and a deer walks within 20ft !
Good luck for your next one

No way would I hunt in full camo during shotgun season.  I hunt on state land, and there are some idiots that hunt out there!  I'd prefer not to be shot!

I do, I can't wait for next season already!

we can own our own guns here and take them out whenever we want....so a lot more hunters in the woods at any time....besides  its the law in most places to wear some kind of red or orange clothing

"we can own our own guns here and take them out whenever we want"
Yes, so can I ? what has that got to do with anything .
The point I was trying to get across was that it appears the deer can not see colors anyhow, so wearing camouflage is pointless really.

Yep, deer are color blind.  Hubby wears full orange as well, and he's gotten quite a few deer.

That is true, however some people where I hunt will shoot at movement, so I'd rather not be shot!  I've had deer stand there at look at me for a few minutes while in full orange.  Too bad her vitals were blocked by a tree! Lol.

if you are wearing camo for bowhunting and cant tell a deer from a human in camo at 15 yards then you should not be in the woods hunting...period!

I wear camo during bow season, but during shotgun season I wear orange.  There are people in the woods that shouldn't be hunting, but they still are.

My wifes 2011 Washington Mulie and my 2011 western Washington archery bull.

Two very nice trophies !
That rosie is a beauty, looks like it was a close shot in that jungle. One like that is on my bucket list.
