That is an awsome looking fish, the spot pattern coming up from the belly is something else. rw

The first fish posted by UFD looks like a straight-up coastal rainbow trout.....like so many here in Alaska.  It doesn't exhibit many cutthroat traits.  The only cutthroat near that spotted is the coastal cutthroat and although the two have overlapping distribution they rarely hybridize in their native habitats.

Beautiful fish, though.
