I'm looking for those nifty thin suede patches that you see on commercially tanned cow hides to repair holes... Is there a special tool to do this?  Or is it just plain old suede glued to the hide?   If so, what glue?  If it's in a taxidermy supply catalog, I must be searching under the wrong thing.

My purpose would be for deer hides that I tan and break myself.  I think the stitches are kind of unsightly and I don't want any backing material.
