Just FYI,  Baquicil is not a degreaser, it is an oxidiser.  This just whitens the skull.  I have had excellent results with ammonia for many skulls.  I also use dawn and water, especially towards the end of degreasing but IMO ammonia gets the most grease out of the skulls the fastest.

Here's my method:
1. Remove the skull from the maceration tank or the beetles and wash with lukewarm water.
2. Place in used or weak peroxide over night, then slow dry. This give me an idea of how greasy the skull is.
3. Degrease in warn ammonia/water for several days.
4. Then continue to degrease for several weeks or however long it takes in Dawn with bleach alternative/water/3% peroxide mix.
5. When the degreasing is done, slow dry the skull, then shelve it for a while & check back to see if any more grease has shown up within a week or so.
6. Whiten as needed with peroxide

You mean that isnt liquid sunshine?  I have been bottling it up for a rainy day for nothing?
Yes I have seen it but I guess I dont think of it as a degreaser.  So you are right.

Is everyone just voting on what degreasing solution they actually use?  Because the poll is on what is the "fastest" degreasing solution.  It's hard for me to believe that there are so many that thing most of the other ways are faster.
