The 1 1/2 coilspring trap is an excellent coon, fox, skunk, opossum trap. I find it a little on the small side for coyotes or bobcats but there are others who have caught and held them with 1 1/2 coilsprings.

get 1.75s for yotes. the 1.5s are good from fox on down. For raccoons I prefer #1 coils when they get hold they dont let go.

Well I figured I'll use the 1.5's on rabbit and coon and just buy something like is suggested for yotes.

everyone Is always quick to tell people that a #2 trap Is what you need for yote. although they would, and have in the past been my preferred yote trap. remember this. not all states, and Ohio Is one do not allow a #2 trap to be set above water. so I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in Trapping. Check their state regulation before purchasing traps. and certainly before setting them

Check the BMP list. They give a recommended size trap for each species of animal. Now before i get bashed about BMP's, let me say that I don't agree with everything they say. It is a good starting point though. Also remember that not all trap sizes are the same. One maker # 2 is another makers #4. Look at the jaw spreads. HAve fun

That site tells you what sizes to use on what animals and what sets to use, just about answers any question you could think of on trapping
