Good Morning from Wisconsin!

Week # 8 is upon us. Thanks to everyone who has participated. We look forward to seeing a LOT of pictures!  Wink

Everyone is welcome to post, from beginners to advanced.

First fish is a 52 " King Salmon reproduction we finished that was caught on the Kenai river in Alaska( late July). The blank is from Great NW Fish ( Dave Campbell ) in Washington. A big thank you to him for the great job on molding and casting this brute !

Fish two is a  40" Flathead catfish  repro we finished, from Warrens Taxidermy  FL . This is also a very fine quality blank.

Great fish Guys!  Nice job.
I finished a few x-mas orders this week, including this 24"  "S" curve Bass ( Archie Phillips), and this 30" Summer Flounder, red phase ( Lonestar Replicas) . I still haev to go in and paint the gills on that largemouth. My client gave me a very unique piece of flat driftwood from the actual  lake he caught his bass in ( Arkansas) I will be mounting Him on it later today, and will post it up on my website soon.

Hey all.....just picked up a new digi camera today! I dont have any work to take pics of at the moment so I snapped a few photos of the shop. I like to doodle on the walls. There are pics like these all over our shop walls, they were done with a sharpie. I look forward to posting some taxidermy work next week. For now just a few doodles! Great fish so far everyone!!!

Dear Mayhem.......love that flounder. Just a guess, but is that a bass from Bev's Fishcreations? I love doing the offbeat fish, as you can tell from my avatar.....proof that frogs mate with sailfish!lol
Hey, do you have good reference for those neat flounder eyes? Give Buck (Mike) Rodgers a yell if you do. He is working like a dog on some interesting new eyes, and collecting tons of reference.....some of the best from this forum, from guys like you and Capt. Bryan. More reference will mean better eyes for us all!

More great fish, just what I come here to see!  I really like the trend to paint in the veining in the bass heads.  Very sweet!

Greg and Aaron, cool silvery fresh-run look you guys gave to that big King!  Do you mind if I save that first picture and maybe someday use it in a catalog or the replica website?  It is perfect because it shows your business name and gives a neat size representation of the repro.....  Wink

They're all spectacular as usual!!!  DanB: On your bass, it looks like you could just take your finger and poke it and would "squish in"- like it's soft and cushy- a very hard thing to achieve on a fish mount. Nice work everyone. can I post pics from fish from year's past since I'm so lazy and never get any new ones done? (Do I even have any pictures? Did I ever even actually finish one? he he)     Dave
