Hello to all, i been curious about how much u all charge for ur bases or how u go about dealing with them. I personally have a standard base that I charge no additional fee for smaller mounts such as fish, birds, badgers, fox, bobcat. just smaller animals, but im not sure how i would go about dealing with a price for bases on larger mounts such as lifesize bear, deer , mountain lions. would i just do a standard base for those larger mounts also? i mean theres gotta be some type of base in the original price correct? or would i charge?  anyone got any info on this i would really appreciate it, thank you to all.

25% of the animal mounted.  That is for a "standard" base.  If they want a more "fancy" base it is priced according.

I charge for EVERYTHING and you should too if you want to make money.
Wood for fish or birds, if it cost me $5, I charge $15.

On all mounts figure in a standard base for your list price. If they want fancy then it is a time & material job above the list price.

Base for any lifesize,
I price it like I have to buy everything for just this job, even if I have some of it in stock(scraps for a previous jobs) I bid  like I have to go out and buy the parts.
Plywood, 2x4's,wire,burlap,plaster,paper pulp, screws, dry paint, repo rocks and plants. Then I add Labor $200.00 per day and $100.00 per day for shop rent & utilitys.
