Other than driftwood I have not had any experience with habitat and would like your suggestions on what I should add to this mount?  I have seen mink working the shorelines while I was out fishing, so something waters-edge-ish may be appropriate?  I don't want to add much for fear of overpowering what I have, but a little something may really make it pop and look finished.

Thanks so much!  Oh, this is my first mink after doing a few squirrels and two deer heads... thanks!

NICE work!!! Whats wrong with what you already have? I sometimes add cat tails and green moss to my habitats, and sometimes slabs of wood from a saw mill can be worked into interesting habitats as well. Real rocks can be to heavy and once in a while I even use drift wood from the beach. I keep playing with ideas that sometimes come into my head too... Keep up the good work...

Thank you!  I was thinking perhaps a little moss around the base of the stump and then a little more along the length of the base, here and there.  I'll have to do a search, but is real moss used, or should I get something at a craft store?

You can buy dried moss in most craft stores. Or take a walk in the woods and get some.
