fastening pebbles, dirt, sticks

I was looking for the best way to fasten a mixture of pebbles, dirt, sand, sticks, leaves. I need something that will hold the pebbles and bigger stuff down. This is for an ostrich base and it will be african type pebbles, sand and stuff. Thanks, for any help.

I use envirotex. It holds the rocks to the base great. I don't know what kind of scene you are doing but, for marsh and pebble streams nothing beats envirotex.Hope this helps.

as long as the pebbles aren't too heavy i've found that bushing elmer's school glue onto the base with a spongebrush works excellent....as soon as it's brushed on allow it to become tacky and pour your "base" layer of sand/small pebbles...allow it to set approx. one hour and dump the excess off...multiple coats looks extremely real...i'll try to add a pic of a bluegill "bed" i just added the sand to
