What a great looking fish! I love the colors in the head... outstanding.

I just finished an Arp reproduction pike the other night. This is the 34" blank. The color in the photo isn't the greatest, but I've taken worse. Also, the base looks kind of bland but is better in person; it's covered with that tan textured spray on stuff to give it that shallow water sand bottom look.

I should also mention that the eye is a Black Forest eye... Thanks for the sample Dennis.  Grin

Next week it's on to another rainbow and another pike. Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

Great start for a week!
Terry, I like your pikes colour, very natural
Dan´s steelhead is awesome too!

I finally finished my silverish fresh run arctic char. Skin mount and bondo cast head. Thanks Terry, your reference photo were very necessary. Although this fish was bit more goldish tone than your photos... big thanks.

Dan!!!!  WHAT A STEELIE!!!!  It defenetely helps using one of Campbells blanks, you can't say enough about them.  Boy, if I ever do another steelhead, I hope it does it justice like yours does.  That is a very fine piece of art my friend!!! Congrats.

Terry, nice gold tipping on the Pike.  I have a 36" toad to do here sometime(personal trophy), and I cant wait after seeing that one!!!!!  Great job.

Great start this week. Nothing to contribute as of yet.

Nice fish so far everone. Just another L.M. This fish is a custom cast for a local 10 yr. old boy. His first big fish. 22 in. and 5lbs. 14oz. Molded about 30 mins. after being caught. My woodworker screwed up my oak panel, so I have to get another one cut before I can finish the background.  Guess I am going to have to become a woodworker also. This particular cast is actually the second cast out of the mold. The first is just about ready to be silicone molded for production. Should have casts ready in a few weeks. I am thnking of doing a tutorial when I paint up the next one for another one of my customers who lost all his mnts. in a house fire.

Great job Dan and Rick on the Steelie. Great to hear another local Michigander can be labeled as a Fishhead. Love your Bass Jeff. Sorry I don't have any fish pictures this week, I've been busy with large mammal work this month. Keep up the great work gang. This weekly thread I believe, gets the wheels spinning for all of us.
Everyone have a great weekend!

WOW! What a great way to enjoy my granola this morning!! All the above fish are just super. I love the subtle coloration on the side of the char and that steelie is the " BOMB".  Another kick butt large mouth...a nice fleshy look in that head shot and Terry...That pike....VERY nice job. Great depth in that painting. I like the broken up transition of the belly to the side of fish. I use a template to get a look like that and it works nicely on the belly line. I think I'd like to try painting one with that lighter look. Most of mine end up comming out darker.

Also looking very forward to seeing more UFD_a_stuff. Hope all is well with your healing process..
