Land pictures of Collburn, Grand Mesa, Grand Junction & the DeBeque Cutoff

I don't know how many folks paint...but...for those of you who do, here are some pictures. These were all taken in the Grand Junction/Grand Mesa/Collburn/DeBeque area. For large game we have mostly mule deer & elk...some moose but they are few & far between. Black bears are plentiful. Antelope. Big horn sheep in isolated areas...except for I-70...a herd practically lives on the highway in some places. White mountain goats...mountain lions. Birds we have turkeys, sage, blue & sharptail grouse, chukars, pheasant, ducks, geese (canadian & snow). Bobcats, coyotes, rainbow, cutthroat, brook & brown trout, crappie, pike, bass, catfish...all sorts of critters. If any of y'all have a painting you're doing and want a back ground, maybe you'll be able to use these to inspire you. I hope any way.
I'm sorry they aren't the greatest quality pictures. And I really should have stopped to wash the bugs off my windshield. Still pretty though. I just put most of them in slide shows. If any one wants an individual picture, they can shoot me a PM and I'll send them exactly what they want.
Grand Mesa-largest flat top mountain in the world...old volcano. Lakes are ALL over the place. The thermal energy is what makes the Glenwood Hot Springs hot.
Grand Mesa
Grand Junction Bookcliffs
Collburn
DeBeque Cutoff
I'm including Collburn & the Cutoff in here because some folks when they hear that I am from this area, they want to see how the place has changed.
Thanks!
Edit!! DANG IT WON'T LET ME DO SLIDE SHOWS.
Oh well...I'll do it the old fashioned way.

& finally the DeBeque Cutoff. During the summer time this area really looks lunar in its landscape. Nothing is green. It all looks dead. Weird & breath taking at the same time.
Anyway, I hope they help someone some day.

You're welcome Tim. It's my Father-in-laws truck. My Dad didn't need 2 dog houses any more so he gave one to my FIL. Used FIL's big red truck for transport. My picture is on page 76 of the Who's Who thread. Glen made me into a belly dancer!

lolllll...Dad let me pick...I chose the comfy/insulated/cross-vent-able one. The other one...seriously it weighs over 250 pounds. There is no way on God's green or hell's 1/2 acre I was going to be able to move that beast by myself...much less get it up in the back of the truck. He had 2 dogs...the older one passed on & he didn't want to keep the extra dog house. The current dog didn't use either of them.
Spoiled dang golden retreiver.

I know why the fishing is so good up there...because the mosquitoes can carry you off!
Ivan knows the lake Chris...dips a line there every few years.
