I'm sorry I wanted to answer a couple of questions that were asked. I steelwool the entire fish that way the tipping appears random and not a regular pattern. As for the silver being on the front of the scale just reverse the process. Paint the scales the final color you want then gloss, then paint silver and the steelwool. That will raise the final color and leave the silver on the scale. You can alter the colors you want the finish product to look like....the choices are infinite.
