Well,
Slight problem with the first casting. The mold is still ok. Just didnt come out quite like I thought it would. I dont have time to mess with it anymore this week. Going to Grand Island NE for the show this weekend. Hope to see some of you there!!

Ill give you a call this afternoon Jimmy.
We will get your mold straightened right out. Soon your studio will smell of resin as you become a mold making maniac.

Don't feel bad Jimmy, my first fish and actually my second fish haven't turned out very good. It's not quite as easy as you'd think. I went back to what I know skin mounting.

I'm new to molding fish as well and will be attending the seminars at the NTA Nationals...I'm sort of holding off any further attempts until after that.

Its not hard, but its tricky.
And after you get more under your belt you will need to come up with new methods to deal with odd problems that WILL pop up.
Molding and casting keeps you on your toes.
Good Problem solving skills are a must.
Like I said when I was helping to teach a small sculpture class.
