We are announcing the dates for the Louisiana competition and show early so that everyone can attend.  Our normal show date is the 1st weekend in May but we are changing our date this year due to the world show dates.

The Louisiana Competition and Crawfish boil  Roll Eyes will be APRIL 3,4, and 5th, 2009.  Grin The show will be held at the Best Western Convention Center.  This is the same location as last year for all that attended.  We are looking to improve our show as always and we are always interested in meeting new people.  If you are a Louisiana member please start talking to your taxidermist friends and pencil in the date for the 2009 show.

Also or Fall meeting and seminars will be September 6th, 2009 at the Bass Pro Shop Smiley  in Denham Springs, La.  We will have a mammal seminar and a habitat seminar put on by our new board member Chad Ruiz.  Chad is from Alexandria, LA and he and his wife Jennifer have jumped into the association ready to work and support the LTA.  We are proud to call them new friends and look forward to learning many things from them both. 

Jennifer was the one who made the shoulder mount whitetail cake at our show this year.  Huh  That is right a shoulder mount deer cake.  You can check the Louisiana competition post prior to this one and see an awesome pic of the cake.  If you have a pic of the cake please post one on here for all to see.
