First off I would like to say thanks to all that helped make this years show a super one. There are so many that work very hard to put on one heck of a great show.

To all who attended and competeted your mounts are super and the quality of the work is some of the best we have had. To those who attended and didn't compete it was nice to have you there and hope you got ideas for next year and learned in the seminars which I am sure you did.

Thanks to the judges, Dan and Carman Helmer from Elkville,IL and Greg Grumfield from Clifton,CO. If any of you get a chance to attened a show were any of these three are judging you are in for a treat. They are just a blast to have around.

Congrats to all the award winners who worked thier butts off to pull of that winning mount, you all did a great job. I know that not all can win awards, I hope we learned along the way that we all are winners for doing our best and giving it our all without giving up.

I will try and get some pics posted, sometimes the system won't let me post but I will try and see what I can do.

Thank you to all,
Mike Goodman

Mike, and to all who attended the NE show.  It was great to see everyone again.  Nebraska has always ran a class act show.  The judges were great, and the level of the work in the room was top notch.  Congrats to all who won and to Mr. Goodman for his BT award.

Cory, you and all the other out of staters are great to have around. You guys always make the show that much more fun, it just wouldn't be the same if you all weren't there. ARMAGEDDON Cheesy Cheesy

BTW I couldn't sleep at all and I still don't think I can.

I feel bummed to have missed the show.  I had been planning on coming to the show since last year, but with a brand new job, i didn't have the vacation time to take just yet.  Will definitely be there next year.  I haven't started Taxidermy yet, still learning, but i guess i have a year now to get started and maybe have something for the show.

Please do post pics!!!  I was hoping to attend as well, but due to extreme weather, and flooding, was unable to make it.  Would love to see pics from the show.

For this being my first show and not knowing what exactly to expect (I was always full of questions), my family and I had a great time. I think I, as well as my daughter, may be hooked! My oldest daughter age 12 said she was somewhat interested in doing a mount about a year ago but never said much more after that. After seeing the show and especially the youths division she wants to get started right away - she had me take a squirrel out of the freezer last night so she could get started skinning it today! Guess what I'll be helping my daughter do right after I log off from here?  Smiley

I have tried several times to post pictures and they just won't post. I tried one at a time and even changing the settings on photobucket to the smallest possible and the system still says too large. So if anyone has picture please post what you have.

I will work on getting more posted. The pictures are going to be of all levels and catagories, not just of the winning mounts. I can't post all pictures due to time involved  so I am sorry if I don't get your picture posted but please feel free to add what ever you want from the show.

I got a bunch but the java on the computer at work won't update to be able to rotate or movie images in photobucket. When I get home I can rotate and edit the remaining ones.

I to had LOTS of fun. I was only able to go for a few hours each day due to my daughters yearly dance recital.
I met Mike Goodman (arnhardtgw3) and Kevin Misner (Weapon X). I probably met others and didn't make the connection to here. So to anyone else I may have talked to I was the goofy guy in the black flame shirt on Saturday and the GI Joe Shirt on Sunday. My little 5 year old son went with me to the deer seminar and sat VERY quiet and listened till he was tired and we were all standing up front looking up close and he laid across some charis  Smiley

I learned alot and will be better prepared next year for sure. Already looking forward to it.

sigh...pics removed
