This is my first post but I have learned a lot from this site and now I have a question. I have a Client that I did 5 European whitetail skulls for clean only. The first 3 were no problem but He wont respond to my calls or emails for the last 2 . its my understanding he might be having some financial problems so I called and left a message and email to let him know I would not charge him for the work and I would degrease whiten and mount on a plaque at no charge .I just want to get the skulls back to him so he could get them back to the original owners .Its been about 3 months no response . I do have the names of the 2 owners I could try to contact them but I don't want to step on any toes. What do you think is the best way to Handel this ?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             THANKS RAY (BARE BONES)

Why would you whiten and pay for the plaques and mount them for nothing? Taxidermy work isn't suppose to be welfare. Get a hold of these people and charge the full price and be done with it. He could be spreading rumors blaming you for them not being done making your business look bad. Step on those toes.

 Leave no forwarding address
Before they all drive me crazy
And I leave 'em all in a bloody mess

I just wanted to help a local taxidermist out  that is the only reason I would do the work for nothing. I make my own plaques and pedestals at little cost to me.I thought that maybe one day he might be able to return the favor and help me if I need it . I know taxidermy isn't welfare but a helping hand now and then doesn't hurt. if I contact the owners of course I will charge them full price.

My friend, step on the toes. This other guy doesn't seem to mind "stomping" on yours. Call the owners and explain to them the situation. You will probably be the hero as well as makeing a future customer or two. If you are in the business to make money thats exactly what you have got to do.Just use a little tact. Also you may want to think about haveing a contract for EVERYONY to sign.........
